I recently acquired a K-100-2 head. Volume, bass and treble work fine but neither the vibrato nor the reverb do.
(I do not have a foot switch for the effects).

Should the trem and reverb work independent of using a footswitch or does plugging in the switch initialize the
effects for operation....... ?

The effects work without the foot switch. Only problem though is the reverb will make a loud crash when bounced and the vibrato is always on but reduced with the intensity pot. I generally have an unconnected stereo plug in to turn the effects off when I don't plan on using them.
