I just got what I think is a great deal on craigs list. For 100 bucks I got a B200B5 pa head and 2 4x10 columns in cascade color tnr. I agreed to get this sight unseen and just assumed it would be in black. I was really surprised to say the least. Now there are a few rips and tears, one speaker is not putting out anything and it needs a 1/4in jack for the 2nd channel but the guy said the channel still worked though. And amazingly it has all 16 original knobs w/silver disc intact. The speaker cabs dont have serial numbers just the CTS placard and the heads serial number is 40393 so I looked this up in the chart to be around Jul 69. Just wanted to share this joyful occurence with everyone on this excellent forum. Take care, Will.

That was a nice deal! I've been seeing some interesting prices on CL. I missed out on the Frankie from Providence, RI (Black) but when the kid in NH posted one for a hundred and twenty, I emailed to find out what head it was. Surprise! A Frankie in cascade. There's a bunch of really sweet prices out there. Kind of makes me wish I lived in the beltway! Laughing

I just got around to opening the cabinet with the blown speaker and to my surprise the speakers are 12 inches. I never heard of pa columns like this having 12s. Anyone with insight to this?

Through the years Kustom made columns with four 8", 10" and 12" speakers.

A lot of companies made similar cabs like VOX, Wilder, Shure, etc.

Remember that these were made back at a time when these cabinets were designed for vocal use only, and not for miking the entire band.
