Just a short time ago I was searching ebay and I came across a red K 200A-4 for 330.00 bin price and I could not restrain myself. It looks to be in great cosmetic shape and the seller listed it as perfect working order and it also has the cover. Now from what I have read on this site I believe the foot switch is neccessary for the effects to operate. I was hoping someone could help me out with a schematic, wiring diagram, or just plain talk me through how to wire up a footswitch that will go to the xlr connection on the back of the energizer. Thanks, Will

Yes, the K200A series amps need a footswitch to turn on the FX. If you search the board, we have posted a list of which pin controls which effect.

You will need a 4 pin xlr plug and whatever box and switches that you want to use. Each of the pins need to be grounded to turn on the effect.

Basically just wire each pin to a switch and then wire the other side of the switch to ground.

thank you chicagobill for the info. i found the post that identified the pins then proceded to do the jumper trick and it is great having effects but i really need to get a proper xlr for this and do a real footswitch. when i did my original post i had just purchased the amp off ebay and did not even realise that it was located about 30 miles from me so i made arrangements to pick it up and i come to find out that the seller of this fine k200 a-4 is dan, the owner of this fine site. i was running late and he had to be some place and as i was leaving he said i should check out his website and i thought he was refering to one of the ones with photo collections and such and once i got home i figured out this was the site. so i would like to thank dan for an awesome sparkly red a-4 and an amazing resource for those that love these amps... will
