Yeah........ misnomer....... the 2N transistors............ or semiconductors..... or ?

I just reversed them and all "seems" well, except that when you turn the BRIGHT Boost on, on what was a dead bright channel, the volume actually goes DOWN?

What was the issue with you 203 board in the first place, and what transistors did you replace, Q205 and 206?

Did the transistors you took out test bad?

I replaced q200. 205, 206.
That channel was dead!

How do the voltages test out on 205 and 206 as compared with the schemstic?

Right off the Bat I would suggest that you change out electrolytic cap C214.

If the signal dies when you turn on the bright boost, be sure to clean and test the switch. Unlike the normal channel bright setting, this switch is more like a stompbox switch, as it switches the signal in and out of the bright circuit. So it can work in bypass position and not work in the bright position.

If I were going to shotgun a cap, I'd start with cap C219 as it is the main output cap of the bright circuit.

It's not unheard of to have bad new transistors, did you test out the 2 new ones you installed in the Brite circuit?
