Kustom 300 PA [message #2775] Fri, 30 May 2003 23:13 Go to next message

I have basically two questions. Does anyone have a schematic for 300 PA? Also, any suggestions on if and where I can have one of the speakers reconed from a 302 column. It's a 12" I believe cts. Are replacement parts avaliable? The part # on the Magnet is 038 5006 00, but the cone has 137-0002-00 on it. I inherited this from my father, and we've used it for our vocals for 5 years now. The head's starting to get a little noisey, and I had to temporarily replace one speaker until (if) I can get this one repaired. I love this thing, I'd rather keep on using it. Thanks.

I had mine reconed by Kansas Sound. Kansas Sound 4840 North Glendale Bel Aire, KS 67220 316-744-6058 but any speaker recone tech can do it for you. There are several on the internet, Here is a link to several over the nation... http://www.recone.com/ Thrill Bill

Hi, the 137 is the CTS manufacturer code, 220 would be jensen. It can be reconed, but if ti has a aluminum dust cover over the voice coil, the reconer may only be able to provide a regular cover. If you do a search for speaker reconers, you will get a whole list of them. I would recommend WEBER/VST.I will do another post wensday with a address for a guy who has schematics.

Hello again. To get schematics, write to ( bob monday)231 w. northbend rd, cincinnatti, OH, 45216.Kustom boards have PC numbers printed on them, you will have to tell him what numbers you want and if you want the power supply layout which has no PC number. He gets three dollars per schematic, which includes shipping.
