Ok I need the help of you Kustom techies out there. I want/need to add a line out jack to my 200B4. I saw the post in service about this but it was targeted at sc series and do not know if it is applicable to the 200 series or not. I believe it was BC who told me that that rca plug on the back was one but it was too hot an out. Anybody got some helpful insight I'd love to hear it! Thanks,Mike.

Mike, the post I did on the line out for the sc series will work with the 200B-4 head. All you need is 100K resistor in series with a 6.8K ohm to ground. The lead of the 100K connects to the speaker output lead which should be a blue wire. Take the tap for the line out between the 100K and the 6.8K resistors. I would install a 1/4 inch jack on the back side of the chassis to insure that you have a good ground for the line out. I do this to all the amps I use on stage and always add a three wire ac mains cable the the amp. K Mart has a15' black appliance extension cord that works well and is only 5.69. Good thing to have when using line outs to other power amps or mixers. Hope this helps Don

Thanks for the info...should have it done in no time. Already put a 3-pronger on. Safety first. One follow up ?, does adding this have any change to the ohm requirement/value of the head. Unfortunately I do not as of yet have a shematic or a manual, but if I understand correctly the jacks are wired in parallel @ a min of 4ohm. Thanks for all the help. Mike.

The line out using the two resistors that I spoke of will not change the output impedance, but does allow the tap to be taken after the final stage of the amp, so you get all the tone and anybreakup that the amp is giving to the speakers. I think it is a warmer tone with a little grit. Have a great holiday. Don
