I'm looking for an 8 inch, 16 ohm CTS speaker to replace the one
in a 1971 PA column with an adhesive failure. Magnet fell right off the basket.
Anyone have a spare they would part with?
Perhaps I should invoke that lifetime warranty, it's only been 50 years.

I would email Weber speakers and ask them what brand 8" driver they could recone with a 16 ohm voice coil and then grab one off of EBay and send it out to Weber.

There's plenty to pick from on there!

An excellent suggestion, thanks!
I did manage to find a suitable replacement in storage, one I'd pulled from
an old Leslie rotor assembly.
Just missing the shiny dust cover, but that's an easy fix.

I found a similar cab locally, which advertised as a 4-8 but turned out to be a 4-10
with vintage CTS from 68' and 72' (Kustom by Ross badge) Picked it up cheap as the seller had no idea what it was for.
"what do you do with that? put it in your truck?" He asked.

Replaced the grill and handles, working on small repairs to the vinyl thanks to all the great posts and links on this site, and now I have an awesome
guitar column I didn't even know I needed.

And the sound from those vintage CTS 10s is quite sweet.

Love this site...
