Can someone please answer the following questions about the mid - 70's combo I just got yesterday.
1) What is the difference between the 2 instrument inputs in the front of the amp?
2) Can I use the "TAPE RECORD" output jack in the rear to go to a PA or mixer?
3) Is there any difference between the 3 positions for the "ON / OFF / ON" switch on the rear panel?
If I knew how, I would upload some photos of the beast!! It is in great condition and sounds extremely LOUD!!
Congratulation!! You are the world's only living brain doner!

Hello and welcome to the place!
The number 2 input is set up with 3 db less gain ( half the volume) of the number 1 input and if should be used if your Bass has active pickups or if you find that your pickups are hot enough to clip the preamp .
The tape output is pretty hot at 3 volts if the amp is cranked up full , so yes you can input it to a mixer but the mixer will need to have a line level setting besides a Mic level or a gain control to trim back the hot signal .
If your pa your using has no line level input then you will need to get inline transformer like Shure and others still makes to knock the signal down.
The two on positions of the switch are to kill the buzz you hear when you do not hold the strings and this feature only works if the stock 2 prong non grounded power cable is still wired to the amp.
These days the 3 prong cord grounds the amp and removes the shock hazard that is present with the 2 prong cord you can get if you touch another item of plugged in equipment who's ground reference is the other way.
These amps output 75 watts of clean power to its speaker which is right on the edge of handling that amount of power, but most times they live a long life!

TBH I don't know what speaker is currently in the cab. The previous owner did say that, back when he first bought the cab, the speaker was replaced under warranty by Kustom.

Well curiosity has got the better of me and I have opened up the cab and there is no brand-name on the speaker. The back of the speaker is a large square block.
The only information is an old looking sticker with the information as follows:
"REMANUFACTURED TO ORIGINAL SPECIFICATIONS"
Part Number 038-0024-01
Impedance 8 - 16 OHMS
Kustom Electronics Inc.
CHANUTE KANSAS 66720
F-100
