So I found this lengthy list of cross referenced transistors for the PET8002.

Ive checked half of them, even the NTE123 and NONE show up on Mouser??

Whats a new world equivalent I can actually order?

Yes, the 2N3904 will probably work just fine. I usually use the 2N4401.

The NTE123ap is the current NTE part number, which I think is still available. I don't use the NTE parts myself, as they are far too expensive compared to the generic numbers.

By the way.... anyone happen to know what the RCA jack on the upper right rear is for?

Havent looked at a schematic yet

Was for feeding a tape recorder and will pump out up to 3 volts of signal if the amp is cranked so you can do what you want with it!
