I got around to my dead reverb 250 this week end and this one did not give up with out a fight. My last one I did was much less of a pain.So here is the way it should be attacked.The reverb pan is mounted off the back of the amp by 4 rubber spacers and 5/16 capped nuts, on the inside the pan is clamped on by 3/8 nuts. DO NOT REMOVE THE CAPPED NUTS ON THE BACK it can some times be way more of a pain in the butt then doing it the right way as I found out.The right way is to unwire the power supply filter cap nearest the power transfomer(discharge it first) and the remove it out of its mount.Then with a nut driver or a 1/4" ratchet with a 3/8" socket remove the 4 nuts and remove the output and input cables, mark which is which, and also make a drawing of the wiring of the filter.If the reverb is pluged in backwards it just will not work, if the filter is hooked back up wrong you will blow up a bunch of circuit components. If you find that the rubber mounts are twisted, remove them and get 4 8/32" screws, 16 8/32 nuts and some loctite and remount the reverb pan on those. Its nice that Kustom went to the trouble of putting them in but in reality they are so stiff they might as well be soild mounts. But the reverb locking feature is a big plus that very few even high priced amps had or have.
