I just found this place and am hoping someone can give me some information. I just acquired a Kustom amp for free just for taking it away. It plays beautifully on all channels, the pots are in good shape, (meaning no scratching or popping sounds). Same for the switches.
What doesn't work are any of the effects, reverb, tremolo and so on. I'm assuming that usually there is a common place to start looking for problems in this area. So, any help I can get in finding a starting place would be appreciated.
Since the price was right, I haven't got a problem looking into getting it fixed. Just would like to know about what I'm looking at for trouble and cost.
It's really hard to find any useful info on these things.
Thank you in advance for any help.
Steve

Years ago, for multi pin foot switches, I used to buy extension cables for Nintendo remotes, which were 9 wire cables. Now I look for stranded wire, category 5 cable, which will come in even number pairs like 4 or 6 or 8.
I agree with Pleat about checking the FX first by grounding each of the pins of the jack. If you find that there are problems that will require major repairs, you may want to have the switch made at the same time to save some time and cost.
