Howdy all -

I play for a living and have done so for 30 years - now on ships. Decided I needed some loud clean amps and now am proud owner of three K 200 heads.

The two bass amps work great - but the 4 input K200 B 5 PA head has no reverb (Sounds great otherwise!). I opened up the amp and have one question - WHERE THE HECK IS THE PAN? Never seen anything like this in my life. Just a transformer - PC board and two cylinders. Is it missing from my head?

Any diagnostic tips would be greatly appreciated!

If anyone has a clue for this stumped gearhead I would be oh so appreciative. Also - if anyone has a 200 guitar head for sale with the clipper etc. I would love to buy and/or trade.

THANKS!!! Derek

I would think the reverb tank should be there. Are there a couple of cables with RCA (phono) plugs on the end, just laying there, or a couple of RCA jacks on one of the boards that have nothing plugged into them? If so, then that's what plugs into the tank.

The tanks I've seen look like standard, full-size 2-spring "Hammond" or "Accutronics" tanks, and should be easily obtainable. I don't know if there's a specific model you'll need.

I'm sure someone with more details will be along with a more complete answer, though.

okay - I don't feel so bad - I can see the RCA jacks for the pan - but guess what - no pan to be seen.

Does anyone know what the part number is for the original reveb tank? Or a solid replacement option? Maybe I can hunt one down.

Thanks!

Thanks - I saw them in there - but do you know which of the four would be a replacement? Or would any of them work?

Thanks! Derek

If your amp does not have the front to rear pan supports to hang the pan off of, you will have to make something up.
I can post you the info on what pan to buy Friday morning, but if you do a search here you might find the info as it has been covered before many times.

Chicago Bill gave me replacement pan info/part number - plus I saw some alternatives that people tried in other postings.

I will have to create a mount for the pan as nothing is there at present - all evidence of reverb pan was removed.

Many thanks for taking time - I will be tackling project when I return from 10 month worldwide cruise ship gig which pays for all the toys!

THANKS!!!! Derek
