I have a K100C-8..... I acquired an original Kustom 2 button footswitch. Before I plug it in, any advice I might need first? I don't want to damage my amp. The pedal has plenty of scratches and some paint worn off. The cord is original and appears to be in good condition..... Thanks.

I don't think that there is anything that you need to worry about. If the switch is bad it won't turn on and off the FX, but it shouldn't harm the amp in any way.
