If anybody wants to see an example of a fake vintage Kustom -- i.e., T&R on modern equipment, complete with cigarette burns -- go to http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2539705578.

well..its one of those interesting pieces lost to music history...but not a fake...AFter Baldwin finished thuroughly destroying the Kustom name and product, they did sell it to that little company in TN and for the life of me ICan't remember their name, but I actually talked with them on the phone at one time cause they were honoring the original lifetime warranties...you had to pay the shipping, but they would fix it...course the Ohio Kustom boys claimed that Baldwin had lost all the records or some such nonsense and that's why they would have nothing to do with gear that they didn't make..other than riding on its vintage name recognition..but I'm off track in my thirst for blood and hate of those rotten.... The Tenn boys quickly changed to the grey carpeted rigs made over seas and I mourned for the big "K"....but I'll tell ya, those little cabs would be fun to have...reload em with some decent speakers and horn and they would bout fit right in on stage as monitors...hope somebody we know snags em.. I'd buy it for the speakers and tell the seller to give the amp to a local church or something cause I wouldn't want to pay shipping for it...just want the speakers....ain't this a fun hobby? I love to see stuff like this turn up.

I bow to ET's superior -- and exceedingly arcane -- knowledge.
