Hi My name is Bill,I am a musician , singer/bassist and have been doing it for 15 years, I know nothing of vintage items. I just bought a storage unit full of equipment among all the mixing boards and PA cabs I found a Kustom 100 with reverb and tremelo on the head and a 1- 15 cab. It is sparkle blue and it all works. I am trying to find out its worth, I know it only worth what someone will pay for it but, I need to sell it and I would like to get a fair price for it. I have seen the same head alone with an asking price of $200 and it said "not sure if it worked completely". I would appreciate any help. thanks Bill

Hi, to determin the value better, I need some more info.
On the back of the speaker cabinet you have the input jack mounted on a plate that says Kustom, and it has a serial number, but their should be other makings on that plate also, and that will tell what speaker the cab was fitted with and inturn have a effect on the value.
In general if its in good shape with no major covering issues I would say 500 to 550 if it has a top of the line speaker.

Hi, There are no markings on the speaker jack plate its just black, The plate in the lower left corner says Kustom and a patend # as well as it says speaker the in the box next to that it says Kustom, no serial #s, there are some on the head though. # 25643 . The actual back sticker on the speaker magnet says model G 15A. I know this because there was something moving inside. Turned out to be some old 70s style sun glasses. As for the condition of the covering, its got 2 small tears in the back of the unit and the parts from the tear are there still. Maybe 1 inch long at most. So should i give this thing a good cleaning or just leave it as is. I know some items that are vintage if you clean them they are worth nothing. Also is there a place or site you might recomend to try and sell this? thanks for your time and reply. Bill

Bill,
The G15A was a 15 inch speaker labeled Kustom and made by Altec Lansing.
The K100-2 head serial number 25643 was made about July 1968.

Is the color blue, or is it cascade (green/blue)?

I would put it on ebay to sell it. Just clean it carefully and take good pictures.
Having really good pictures in ebay ads is important for people to be able to judge the condition.
