Surprisingly, there have been a number of Kombo organs on eBay lately - a total of SIX in the last 4 months!

That Cascade one has been up on eBay for about 2 months now. Originally listed at $3,000, he may need to come down another $500 or so before it sells.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't understand how someone can keep such a cool-looking Kustom of the T&R type in their attic for some 20-odd years... seems like a waste...

What happens is that most of us start in our teens adn play for 10 years or so. Then the family comes, the bands reorganize, and ultimately we go on hiatus until our families are grown and we are free of our family responsibilities. That's the 20 years or so. Now if you are like me and stupid, you unload your cascade collection for pennies on the dollar just to buy the smaller and less weighty amp that doesn't have 1/10 the kool factor. Then you spend the next 20 years making up for it. That's where I'm at right now. I have 5 K100's in cascade, silver, charcoal, blue and gold. I have 2 cascade 3x15 siren cabinets and 2 red 3x15 siren cabinets for the lows and highs. For the mids I use 2 4x12 columns in charcoal. I also have 1 2x15 K200B-1 bass rig. I have a silver K25 combo amp and a Chinese made 2x15 cabinet modified as a PA rack. The PA speakers are powered by 3 QSC PLX amps for a total of 6600 watts. It is one great PA system with enough sparkle to distract the audience from the crappy band playing on stage.

ROTFLMAO! That is a pretty impressive collection, though. And I'm sure you guys aren't crappy. What kind of music do you play? Classic Rock?

First off, I'm 58 years old. WTF is ROTFLMAO???? Our band plays mostly 60's and 70's stuff that other bands won't play. Sure. we play "Pretty Woman" and "Brown Eyed Girl" but we also pull out stuff from the Vogues, Leo Sayer, Ricky Nelson and The Beatles. Not your top 40 but album things that people say they haven't heard in 40 years. I mean how many bands would dare play "Squeeze Box" by The Who? We are just getting started with a new lineup as the previous guitar player got a new job out of state and the bass player just sucked. So half of the band is new. Once we get our demo CD done and the web site adjusted, we will start to promote but until then, mums the word.
