Hello people... I am really happy, I finally got my first Kustom made in Chanute Kansas!!! It`s a K100-1 model...
Now I understand why everyone has more than one of these babies... They are BEAUTIFUL!!!
I cannot believe how LOUD it sounds... I really love it...
As I live in Argentina it`s almost impossible to have one of this amps, and now my dream became true!!!

Although it`s de k100-1 model, it`s versatile, each input sounds different!

Now with a couple of pedals I will try to get the CCR tone...

PS: We have 220V here, and I using a transformer... Do you know the consumption or amperage of the head? I don`t want to hurt it...

The k100 or any item of gear will only pull the amount of current that it needs!

In other words you could have 400 amps available at 220 volts and the amp will only draw what it needs to work.

The main thing to check is that your step down transformer is not sending out more than 127 volts ,and then if you can play the amp full up and that voltage does not drop below 110 than your step down transformer will live a long life!

k100 amps have a 3 amp fuse in them so if your step down transformer can output 2.5 amps at 115 volts all will be well, the worst that could happen is that you blow the fuse on the step down when playing at a certain volume level.

That being said most step downs have a bunch of current on hand just due to the fact that they are a step down type!

You should note need pedals to get the CCR tone , just the right speakers, however the distorted tone they used on some songs came from a K200s clipper section so that may be a bit hard to nail down!

At any rate enjoy your new old baby !

Hello bergese, do you remember my letter i sent you 3-4 years ago, about the clipper sound,
In the eighties i have a 244 tascam and used the trim control to get a similar sound as the clipper.
the tone fades out fast after you hit a string , And notice that fogerty also using the boost on the A4kustom,
and of course the magic rick 325 with a gibson humbucker, so try different pedals and good luck.

Hello again, I tested one of my amps last year, a fender 100w china model and it using only 22watt of consuming
so the transistor amp do not use so much as a tube amp.

That's not carved in stone !
For instance a 45 watt RMS Fender Super reverb amp uses a 2 amp slo blow type fuse which is almost the same as the 3 amp fast blow fuse in a k100 which is a 50 watt RMS amp dispite what is stamped on the tag on its back!

Ok stevem, maybe you're right, here is a another example,
my marshall 2203 100w uses 375w ,??
And i have also one kustom 250 and 2x15 cab with jbl k130
and of course one kustom 200A4 and use the same kind of
tranformer as bergese to get 110v from the 230v we have here,
notice. the 250 is a 220v already.
