Hello everyone. I am looking for a replacement transformer for a K25-2 amp. The transformer is completely rusted and I cannot read any of the numbers stamped in it.

Has anyone found or know of a replacement transformer I could use with this amp?

Thank you in advance! Smile

Hello!
Even if you could read the stampings end bells of the transformer it would not help you to know how much voltage and current the power transformer needs to output!

Is the Transformer bad as in it will blow fuses with the secondary wires disconnected , or just very rusty ?

Dispite what you might have heard , rust on the iron plate Core does not matter unless it goes very deep into the core plates!

If you reply back that indeed the transformer is bad you will need to give me a day or 2 to find a new replacement for you .

If you indeed need a new transformer I found 2 different brands that will work.
These are Toridal types a will need to be mounted by 1 new bolt hole that will need to be drilled.

One brand is a Triad and the part number is VPM48-1040

The other one is a Avel Lindberg y236404.
