Hi guys, it's been awhile since I've posted on here. There is a Kustom K100-2 for sale near me. The plate on the back of the cab says Jensen. I've heard that if it says Jensen then it's a guitsr cabinet, if it says CTS it's a bass cabinet. Is that true? Thanks!
Also, is $250 a good price for it? I will try and talk him down a bit.

I've been in the market for a bass 2x15 or 2x12 for gigging purposes. Even in New York these Kustoms are hard to come by. I'd use the head for a guitar on a different amp. I could swap out the speakers for a pair of bass speakers. I haven't gotten to see the amp yet, going to check it out Wednesday, If the speakers and wiring are all original I will probably try to remove the speakers and wire and input jack without unsoldering anything. I hate to be that guy that ruins something in original condition. Hence why i'd remove the speakers and wiring and jack together.

Black was the most popular color. Over 50% of sales. PA systems made up 55%, Bass amps 25% and guitar amps 20% according to an email from Bud. So in order, black, charcoal, silver, blue, red, gold, and cascade. I personally think Gold was the rarest color in the fact I haven't seen many gold amps for sale over the years.

I bought the amp and got it home a week or 2 ago. It sounds great for guitar. Also got curious with the bass and plugged the head into my 3x15 Kustom bass cab. Didn't sound too bad. Did some research before plugging a bass in it. Don't think any damage could be done to the head. I know plugging a bass into a guitar cab would blow out the speakers. Made sure to have the head going into the 3x15.

Nice! I think the speakers may have been reconed, as the original Jensen's had an aluminum dust dome with a black vent in the center. Not a huge deal, just something to be aware of.
I could be wrong, if so, I'm sure someone will be along to correct me

Ah okay, kinda sucks its not 100% original, but 99% original still makes me happy haha! It still sounds great! I plan on swapping out these 2 speakers for a pair of bass speakers for gigging. But at the same time, looking at it everyday, seeing how good the condition of it is, I almost don't want to destroy it from gigging.
Either way, I am in love with this thing!
