hello, i am new to the forum and maybe someone can help me out with some questions. I'd like to know what the correct impedance is for the 2 1/4 inch jacks on the back of the head? also what might the single 1/4inch jack that is right below the plate where the model and serial number is? would this be on/off for reverb? i am pretty sure this is a pa amp but i have been using it with guitar with excellent results just using a 12 inch speaker out of an old alamo amp. thanks, will

Welcome. Yes the K200-5 is the PA version. The total impedance would be 4 ohms for maximum 100 watt output. The 1/4" jack on the lower back right is for the reverb on/off footswitch. Kustom cabinets were 8 ohm each so with two columns the amp is running a 4 ohm load.

Watch out if you care about that vintage Alamo speaker as even though its more than likly a 8 ohm driver that head will still output some 60 + watts into a 8 ohm load!

thanks a lot pleat for the valuable info, now i can start thinking about what i want to do for a permanent cabinet. thanks also stevem for your advice on the speaker. i really was not certain of the power rating so i was taking it easy on it. this is my first kustom amp and i am really blown away by it. i have a whole bunch of old tube amps but i needed something with a bit of power. my most powerful amp is a 59 silvertone 2-12 combo and i hate to travel with that so i lucked out on this pa head so now i want to get a nice sounding cab for messing about.

My advice would be to get a 2-12 closed back cab loaded with 8 ohm drivers so that they can be wired in parallel for a 4 ohm which is what that head wants to see for maximum clean power.
