Kustom colors

On ebay we have another “Gold” Kustom that is actually charcoal that has taken on a gold cast.

The three “Gold” colors
It is very common for the White with silver sparkle to fade to a light gold.
The true Gold color is a definite medium/dark gold color.
I have actually owned and then later sold Kustoms that I thought were gold that were actually white faded to light gold - I did not know until Kustom Dan clued me in.
The way you can tell is to remove one of the feet - the true color will be there.
The three “Gold” colors:
1. Gold
2. Light gold (White with silver sparkle faded to a light gold)
3. Charcoal with a gold cast

So actually there are 10 Kustom colors (instead of 7):
1. Gold
2. Red
3. Cascade
4. Charcoal with a gold cast
5. Light gold (White with silver sparkle faded to a light gold)
6. White with silver sparkle (that did not change color) edit: Kustom called this "silver"
7. Charcoal (that did not change color)
8. Blue
9. Black
10. Kool Black

(There are more than ten! The blue 2x12 cabinet I have on ebay has faded a little so it does not exactly match the normal Kustom blue tuck and roll color. It is actually about 1/3 of the way to matching cascade. When I had a cascade Kustom here, it didn't match but it did not clash as badly as blue and cascade normally do.)

Based on my records:
(1) Gold and (2) Red are the most rare colors in vintage Kustoms.
(3) Cascade, then (4) White with silver sparkles share a distant second place for the most rare color.
(5) Charcoal is third.
(6) Blue is a distant fourth.
(7) Black is the most common.
