Schematics for K200 PA Head [message #1414] Tue, 09 April 2002 10:21 Go to next message

I picked up a 200 PA head off of Ebay for practically nothing. It was sold "as is", and naturally, it wasn't working when I got it. I looked at the fuse first, which was blown. I replaced it, plugged it in, turned it on, and I let the smoke out of one of the transistors. You know that's what makes all electronics work, don't you? It's the smoke. If you let the smoke out, it quits working, every time. Anyway, I need to get my hands on schematics for the unit so I can track down which cap or diode is shot and needs replacement. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Rod

It is quite likely that you damaged some if not all of the output transistors by letting it smoke. Regarding the schematic, it is sometimes located on the top metal cover of the chassis. Remove the cover and take a look. Good luck.
