Hey all -- very new to the site, been a Kustom owner since the 70's. Seeking a 1-12", K-25 "Kustom 50" in red as a nostalgic gift for my best friend. He and I had them back in the 70's - mine was black and I still have it. Any leads appreciated.

Hey Matt..welcome....and you might just be the only other guy I know that has had his rig since he was a young slinger.
There is a methodist minister in Cary NC that had a red...it was either the K25 or the 50 and was really clean...he was ebaying it last year at this time and wanted a min of $450 for it.. I've bought from him and he's good to his word on condition...but for the life of me I can't remember his email address.. and my computer has been wiped since last year.. I'll try and find some contacts for you...but if nothing else it gives you an idea of the going price on a really clean one.
I too have an original K25 in black w/cover that was bought for me at age 13 in 68..my prized possession...if you're located anywhere near Charlotte NC pls let me know..always looking for buds to share tuck n roll with and my studio is full of em!

This may not completely qualify but I bought a K200 W/4x12 PA in cascade in 1969. I sold the columns because I was stupid and kept the PA head. Then I swapped the guts with a K200-B1 and I still have that. Soooooo, the only piece that is original is the cascade shell. I guess that is a stretch, but that simple shell started my kids and I on our latest quest for T&R.
P.S. I lost the stand for the PA but the side mounts still remain.

Let me tell you, to this day we are still kicking my dad's butt for selling those cascade beauties. It was unfortunate I was too young to save them. In fact, I don't think I was born yet. But one day we will get them back. Probably for more than he sold them for....PENNIES!!!!! Yah, I bet they were shinny too.
