Hi
I have a Kustom 250 head and 2x15 cabinet which needs speakers. What do I need to know about ohms and wiring? thx steve

The 250 will go as low as 3 ohms.
So you need two 8 ohm speakers wired in parallel to give a total four ohm load.

(If you aren't sure about parallel wiring, it is wired negative on one speaker to negative on the other speaker and then to negative on the amp speaker output.
And positive on one speaker to positive on the other speaker and then to positive on the amp speaker output.)

Also use a 9 volt battery to make sure that when positive voltage is applied the speaker cone moves outward. Connect the battery to the speaker positive to positive and negative to negative - if the cone moves out towards the front then wire the tip of the jack to the positive (red) speaker wire. If it moves backwards then hook the speaker negative to the tip of the jack.

Great. thanks for the fast reply. In general, is it ok to have more ohms on the speaker side??? Let say 8 ohms reading on the speaker with a head that is set for 4 ohms. Thanks... Steve

Yes, you'll just not have as much output power. No harm will happen though.
