Hey there! I am just getting into Kustom gear, thanks to a good friend of mine, who himself has a wonderful collection going. I have recently acquired a 71 K50 1x12 combo, a wineburst 68 K200A guitar, and a near perfect Kustom 150 (I think) cabinet. We took the guts out of my Marshall JTM 60, and Kustom-fitted it into the K150 cab. It's beautfiul, and really tightened up the sound. I would post pics of all on here, but can't figure out how to attach an image without a URL. Any ideas?

Also, does anybody know if ALL of the K200 guitars were made from Zebrawood? And if not, what was the other wood used? Thanks a lot, and am very happy to be a Kustom owner now! The K200 has become my #1 guitar, and my Gibsons' are just relaxing in their cases now!

First off, welcome to the site. Lots of good info here. The K50 is my favorite amp and takes processor pedels really well. Gotta ask what color is it?
The K150 cab? is it a 2x12 vertical cab? The K150 cabs differ from the original K100 2x12 cabs in respect to the sides. The K150 2x12 cabs don't taper from top to bottom.
The guitars were made from Maple, Ash and zebra wood.

Thanks!! It's a shiny black one. It sure does take pedals well, but I just love the cleans I get out of it. Trem and reverb are fantastic as well. I use it to back up my marshall and at practice. As for the cab, I'm actually not sure what type of cab it is. It is a 2x12 horizontal amp cab, with handles on the side and it's on casters. I just guessed it may have been a 150. It's the dull black tuck and roll as well. If I knew how to put pictures up on here I would gladly do so!

To put up a pic you have to have a photo bucket or other type of internet account to store your pic's and then get the link to them and post it here.

It could either be for the K100-7 or the K150-7 amp chassis. Difference is where the cut out is on the amp shelf for the speaker jack.

Pretty sure it is a 150-7 cab if it has 12" speakers. I think the 100 series came with 10". The 150 series came with either 10" or 12".

Carlc,
I have the SC catalog for the 100 series and the website has the SC catalog for the 150 series. Both series offered either the 2x10 and the 2x12 combo's. Odd thing in the 100 series brochure the 2x10 model, the power rating was 50 watts peak power, and the same chassis that slide in the 4x10 cab is rated at 100 watts peak power. I've owned both the K100 and K150 2x10 combo's and the K100 2x10 the speakers are wired in series and had an extension speaker output. The same amp in the 4x10 version didn't have the extnsion speaker out. When Kustom updated to the 150 series combo's, all the K150 amps regardless speaker configuration, are rated at 150 watts peak power and the speaker extinsion jack was removed.

Another thing I noticed when comparing my SC100 brochure to the SC150 brochure on the web site. Both mine and the website brochure are the same photo's. In both brochures the black single 12 K25 has no 25 on the face plate, the only thing changed were the descriptions of each amp. The back page on my brochure that give dimensions and power ratings, the dimensions are wrong for the K100-6 single 15" amp. My brochure states the depth of 12" and should have stated 14" deep for the bass models. Kustom must have save a lot of money using the same phot's for the brochure just by changing the power ratings and corrected the dimensions.
