Well I had hopes of doing this about 2 weeks ago, but I got to it on sunday. so heres the results of revin up my K150-2 slant face I`ve been tryin to sell.
The back of the amp is taged by saying 6 to 8 ohms, and that indeed is true

RMS output at 8 ohms =79 watts
Peak watts noted at 8 ohms=105.8

RMS output at 4 ohms=61 watts
Peak watts noted at 4 ohms=105

These amps and the plexi face 150 models have a inductive choke in the positive and negative rail of the power supply, a componet normaly only seen in tube amps and medical equipment for mantaining a very stable powersupply.these 150 models show that the addition of the choke helps these amps to pump out the RMS wattage of a K200 model driving into a 8 ohm load.
I have since been wondering if these chokes have the current handling ability to be put into a K200 model for bass. It would be a even tighter, punchy amp than what they are now!

Steve's testing (this test plus the last one) proves that K100 and K150 (slant-face models) are better at 8 ohms than at 4 ohms. The K100 puts out 15 per cent less power at 4 ohms than at 8 ohms. The K150 slant-face model puts out 23 per cent less power at 4 ohms than at 8 ohms.

(I promise to never use my K100 at 4 ohms again.)

His testing also shows that, like most 4 ohm amplifiers - the K200 and K250 put out more power (about 36 to 38 per cent more) at 4 ohms than at 8 ohms.

You can summarize this basically by what has been mentioned on this website many times.. For best results, use the K100 (and K150) at 8 ohms, and use the K200 and K250 at 4 ohms.

Here is my interpretation of the test results (from both tests).
If the Manufacturer produced output claims based only on Steve's testing, it might look something like this:

K100-1 51 watts RMS at 4 ohms (4 ohm operation not recommended)
K100-1 60 watts RMS at 8 ohms

K150 (slant-face models) 73 watts RMS at 4 ohms (4 ohm operation not recommended)
K150 (slant-face models) 95 watts RMS at 8 ohms

K200B-1 100 watts RMS at 4 ohms
K200B-1 73 watts RMS at 8 ohms

K250-1 125 watts RMS at 4 ohms
K250-1 92 watts RMS at 8 ohms

(increasing filter from 4,500 uF to 12,000 uF improves power by 6%)
K250-1 133 watts RMS at 4 ohms
K250-1 98 watts RMS at 8 ohms

795PA Frank 75 watts RMS at 4 ohms
795PA Frank 43 watts RMS at 8 ohms

Thanks for the recap Les! May be my test results can be put up in the sites tech section so people browsing do not have to go thru searching out that post to get that info.I might also mention that it is Ok to run these heads at the impeadance that they put out less power in for guitar if you want a great, whats called" crunch distortion sound" with less volume. I love recording with my K100 when I want that sound, these Kustoms just do it so well. The only thing I would recommend would be, on the amps that you would run down to 4 ohms to get less wattage, would be to place a fan pointed at the back of the head to keep it cool, the output circuit at 4 ohms will be pumping out twice the amount of current at 4 ohms then it did at 8 ohms so we are talking twice the amount of heat that has to go someplace.
