Hey, newbie here. I have a Kasino Natural 150 that I want to build a cab for. I know the original was a 1x15, but having tested this amp out a bit I think it could handle a 2x15 pretty well. I know that 2x15 was the standard Kustom bass cab, and that it was also the cab for the higher end Kasino, Snake Eyes.

My question is this: what sort of frequency response can I get from a 2x15 which I plan on loading with Jensen Mods (I'm a college student on a budget.)? I only ask because my guitarist firmly believes I'll be missing all the highs I could be getting on the higher frets of the G string, and all the highs from slapping and popping, not to mention the natural harmonics that exist when playing normally. Is my guitarist right? Should I think about putting an 8" or a tweeter in the cab to help give me those highs I would otherwise be missing? I know the original cabs for Kustom and Kasino bass amps were just ported 15" cabs with no tweeters or other speakers whatsoever. Should I stick to the original formula or try something new to give me better frequency response? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

The jensen mod 15/120 goes from 48hz to 5000hz pretty well so you will have plenty of highs for slapping. The cab should be 39 inches high x 24 wide x 14 deep, and ported with either tubes that you can get from Parts Express or a 2.5" by 22" wide slot inbetween both 15s, with a angled board inside the cab, 8 inches deep on both sides of the slot, like a funnel to the front slot.

The man has the dimensions for the cab and everything. Thanks for the info, that's exactly what I needed to know. Now I just need to go and build the thing.
