Just found your site and it's great. I have had this unit for quite some time but know very little about it. I bought it used with no manuals or anything. It's got two PRO 15 P Speaker cabinets and a powered mixer (130 watts). The speaker cabinets say that they are from Chanute, Kansas. The only model information I have is the unit says BC A on it. It has six channels with low and high inputs. I use it to dj a few car shows and it works fine. However, I sure would like to know a little about it. Looking forward to hearing from you Kustom Kats.

hey RA...welcome to the mess...and we are...
I wanted to say hi..even though I'm no good at the numbers... I just fell in love with tuck n roll about 30 years ago and never left it...Kustom made so many great things through the years that I've not been able to keep up..hopefully you'll hear from some of the pros on this site..in the mean time, glad to have you....ET

I was looking through a 1979 kustom catalog and you have the 3BCA head which is what kustom called the Briefcase PA head that has hi and lo impedance inputs, expander input that would allow a seperate mixer to share the internal power amp. 130 watts. It is a pretty straight forward mixer. The speaker cabinets are the PRO 15-P which states a 8 ohm box with a 15" heavy duty speaker and two piezo tweeters. I had a pair of the cabinets in the early 80's and they were make to compete with the EV TL806 cabinets. They do sound good. Hope this helps. Don

Thanks. The amp is in a plastic "briefcase." I guess that's why they call it a briefcase amp. The handle is broken on it. It still works, though. I've had the woofers reconed since I bought it and the guy who did it told me that they were good speakers. I think so too. While my stuff is tolex and not tuck and roll, at least it's real Kansas Kustom.

Kustom offered the Pro 15P and the Pro 15T. The difference is the Pro 15T used the Electro Voice SRO 15" speaker and the T-35 tweeter crossing the horn at 3500Hz. The Pro 15P used the standard KEI 15" speaker and two Piezo tweeters. The Pro 15T is rated at 100 watts RMS and I would guess the Pro 15P would be rated less, maybe 75 watts. Using both cabs to your lll BCA PA head, you have the 4 ohm load the amp wants to produce the 130 watts RMS, so each cab is taking 50% of the total load.
Kustom also offered the same components in their slant monitor versions.
