Anybody know what transistor will cross over to an FZ 952? It's transistor Q711 on a PC 703 board. Thanks,
Tom

Q711 on my schematic is a 2N3638 transistor. The FZ952 is a Zener diode.

Ok. The schematic I'm looking at show an npn transistor with the collector not connected. I thought the symbol for a zener looked like a diode with a bent line. Please excuse my lack of knowledge. Just learning. Thanks

That transistor is being used as a diode, that's why there is no connection to the collector. And yes, a Zener diode is drawn just like a regular diode with a Z shaped line in the middle.

Transistor Q711 on a PC 703 board now crosses that Fz952 transistor. Its gives additional capacity for adopting energy for system. Its result good.

Does these diodes support all functions as that of transistor or it is exactly same?? Can we use the Zener diode as the default one? And what would you say about Q711 transistor?
