If the cabinet is truly a 1972, it should be a 250 series. (I bought a 200 series amp new in Dec 1971 and there were still some of those in stock in the new year) The 250 cabinet will be the same depth from top to bottom and not slanted to be less deep at the top like the 200 series cabs. The grill cloth should have a "checked" pattern instead of solid black and the badge will have "Kustom Electronics Inc" in brushed metal instead of a chrome finish. 250 series 2x15s were loaded 4 ohms from the factory. 200 series cabs were 8 ohm in the 2x15. BC Cool

Another thing to consider is.....have the speakers been replaced? I would first check with an ohm meter if possible, or pull the back to have a look inside. After 35 years a lot of changes could have been made. Most of my Kustom cabinets have original speakers....but some have been changed also. Good luck! BC Cool
