"In the beginning, Bud created the K200. It was typically matched up to a 2x15 cabinet or larger.
The 2x12 cabinet and the K100 came much later."
You won't see 2x12 Kustom cabinets until February 1968, when the Kustom 100 came out.
The Kustom 2x12 cabinet in the link below is from late 1964 or early 1965.
They were not making 2x12's yet, so it is probably a preproduction prototype. It is white with silver sparkles, has no port tubes, and has the briefcase style handles that only came on the earliest Kustoms. Other info in this speaker: 34H x 21W(10 pleats) x 12 1/2 D , 65 lbs, original silver gray Jensen speakers, numbers on both speakers: #220443 EM1200 C7729
Kustom smallest cab was a 2x15 in 1966 and 1967. I believe that 2x12 cabinets were not available at all until 1968.
This could be as rare/one-of-a-kind as a Frankenstein combo (just kidding).

I guess I fat fingered the keyboard as the first message went to the twilight zone, but that is not new for me. Pleat has pretty well covered it. I also like the offset jack plate on the back. About 10 years ago ET and I noticed a non sparkle "gray" 2x12 on Ebay. The story was that the guy had a friend who "brought it out the back door" at the factory. Never saw another piece that color. Lots of mysteries remain. BC

I wonder if some of these "one-off's" could have been made as a special order for either big dealers or for endorsers?
From reading some of the history and comments from Bud Ross, it sounds like almost anything was possible, especially in the early days.
Or these could have been modified in the field by their owners after the fact.
