Hi, 2-12 inch speakers are real not the way to go for a 5 string bass, even 12 pro model woffers have a hard time moving that much air and most of them need above 300 watts in a big cabinet to do it. That low B string is at 30 cycles or so, and most 12 inch speakers start to lose SPL level real fast by around 70 to 50 cycles if they are guitar speakers. You need at least a 15 incher that will go down to 40 cycles in a good ported cabinet. And if you are playing out with a hard hitting drummer 2 15s would be better. I have not tested my K150 as I have my others yet, to truly find out if they put out more wattage at 8 ohms or 4 ohms. I will set mine up over the week end and put up a post on it monday to let you all know. For playing you can rent a power amp and a cab since the head has a jack to drive a power amp.
