Ok, this is not a specialized Kustom event, but I decided to post something anyway.
My town of Carterville, Missouri (a couple of miles east of Joplin) has a route 66 festival every year with several live bands, a car show, a ton of food, etc.
This year it is on September 17.
My home is right across the street from the park they use for the shindig, and I will have my Kustom theremin out for people to play with.
If any of you happen by, stop and party with us.
Look for a rock building in the 400 block of west main. It was a gas station during the mother road's heyday and has a "historic building" sign. That's my house.
As far as I know, despite the tornado in Joplin, the event will take place as scheduled......Rob
