I found a bunch of JBL 2035 HPL speakers on ebay at a reasonable price. 8 ohms, very high watt rating....like 600 no aluminum dust cap but they are kind of a cool gray for the cones. They were made for cinema theater setups. Question is would they make a good PA speakers................I'm looking at buying 4.

You should go and look at the cabinet volume spec for these drivers before you build, as if I recall right they need a tad less in regards to that then say, a K or E 140 JBL.
I have a copy of a question and answer session by the head designer durning the Hey days at JBL, and he said that in regards to the low frequencys drivers back then that the Aluminum dome added to them was more done more so for voice coil heat reduction than increasing frequency responce which it does to a larger degree with the guitar drivers!
The looks where just a side plus!

Yeah I did pass on them and instead found another set of cabaret speakers......6 hours away but only $150. Pleat has spent a lot of time with me discussing cabaret cabinets and what I was trying or wanting to do.
Will be needing your help with wiring some outputs on my PA amps. Pleat looked over my list of equipment and figured out the best way to make everything work. I"ll be in touch soon on that.
