Last night I was watching an old video I had called 'Funky Town' which is a documentary about several Minneapolis bands trying to make it. I noticed while watching one of the bands, 'The Delilahs', that the bass player appeared to be playing thru 2 silver Kustom cabinet. I could not make out much about the rig but here is a link to a picture.

Anyhoo, I'm not suggesting that this regional band was famous but it started me wondering about who were the famous users of Kustom amps. I'm mostly interested in bass players (but others are fine too) and am aware that both James Jamerson and Bob Babbitt used them back in the 60-70's but really don't know who else.

CCR are probably the most well-known T&R users, but someone sent me several pics of the Grateful Dead, and there are several pieces of Kustom gear being used, most notably, a Kustom Kombo organ - WITHOUT the preamp panel. The only one I've ever seen.
Other than that, I can't think of any. But it seems like almost every local band I saw in the late 60s had at least a few Kustoms, and often an entire backline.
Oh, yeah, the Osmonds had a full backline of black T&R!

Let us not forget our Kustom babe Sheryl Crowe. Also one of the most infulencial bass players of all time that was ever in the studio James Jamerson used a Blue Kustom 2x15 200.
Even Mccartney talked about what and effect that Jamerson's playing had on him.
I saw a County bass player using what looked to be a white/silver 3x12 and a blue 2x15 while surfing thru Dish the other night. Remember Lucy Lu using her big 3x15 too in the movie of Charlie Angels.
