Hi, I have a June 1968 Blue tuck n roll k100-2 head. It has the 2 prong power cord attached to it. I would like to modify this to have a grounded 3 prong cord. Should I do this, or leave it original? If I shouldn't, then why? has anyone done this or knows how much this would cost? Is there a way to ground it without modifying the originality? I know I would play it alot more if it was grounded, I get shocked too much the way it is right now.
Any advice would help, thanks.

Be careful there! The white wire is the neutral line, it is not really ground, and should not be connected to the chassis.
We have discussed the replacement of the power cord for many years now. Replacing them does not really affect the value of the amp and it will make the amp safer to use if it is done correctly.
Here on the board, Conrad likes to use Hoover floor machine power cords that are as long as the originals and also have the plug clip to hold the wire neatly on the back of the amp when stored away. If you search the board you will probably find one of his posts that detail the procedure.
