I just got a 2x12 speaker cab, and was surprised to see two jacks on one mounting plate on the bottom, instead of just one. (Took an image but can't figure out how to show it here.)
Is this some sort of series/parallel thing, or is it an 8 ohm/16 ohm option?
Haven't opened the back yet to see what's inside -- should be CTS speakers -- because I wanted to see what you guys think of this first.

It was probably to allow connecting two speaker cabs in parallel. The amp probably has only one speaker jack, so you'd need some way to connect the two in parallel. This is ok, as long as the total connected speaker impedance isn't lower than what the amp is rated for (assuming solid-state amps - tube amps are a different matter). K200 amps can drive a speaker load as low as 4ohms. If your 2x12 cab is 8ohms (two 16ohm speakers in parallel), then you could connect a second 8ohm cab using that extra jack.
